Why you should shave your head

Shaving your head is a personal choice and depends on various factors including individual preference, style, and practicality. Here are some reasons why some guys may choose to shave their heads:

1. Attractiveness: A recent study found that men with shaved heads were viewed as more masculine and dominant than other men. Two of the experiments showed that they were also perceived as taller (by an inch, on average) and stronger than those men who were well-coiffed. They were also viewed as having greater potential as leaders.*

2. Hair Loss: For men experiencing hair loss or thinning hair, shaving the head completely can be a way to embrace baldness rather than trying to cover it up. It can be a liberating experience to accept your  natural appearance. The University of Pennsylvania study found that men with male-pattern baldness or spotty patches of hair on their head were actually perceived to be weaker than those who bit the bullet and went completely bald.*

3. Low Maintenance: Maintaining a shaved head is generally low maintenance compared to dealing with hair styling, regular haircuts and hair care products. It can save time and money in the long run.

4. Keep Cool: Especially in hot climates or during the summer months, having a shaved head can help keep the scalp cooler and reduce discomfort associated with sweating.

5. Confidence: Guys who fully shave their heads are perceived as more confident than guys with a trimmed, balding look. The decision to embrace your baldness projects and air of self-assurance to stand out from the crowd.

6. Look Younger: When you fully shave your head, it can make you look younger by getting rid of wispy, greying hair.

7. Personal Preference: Ultimately, whether or not to shave one's head comes down to personal preference. Some men simply prefer the look and feel of a shaved head and feel more confident and comfortable with this style.

However, it's important to note that shaving your head is not for everyone. Hair is a personal feature, and guys should feel free to choose the hairstyle that best suits their preferences and lifestyle.
